Abstract : The study aimed to measure the impact of the private sector contribution to the gross domestic product in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the period (2000-2021) through two descriptive, analytical, and standard approaches. The study used the Standard Model (ARDL) methodology, and the dependent variable was gross domestic product, which is an expression of the economic dimension. The independent variables were consumer spending, gross fixed capital formation, and interest rate. Through standard tests, it was concluded that there is a cointegration relationship between the GDP growth variable as the dependent variable and the private sector contributor indicators (consumer spending growth, total private sector investment growth, and interest rate growth), that there is a long-run equilibrium relationship, and that both growth Both consumer spending and interest rate growth have a direct and significant effect on GDP growth. As for the variable total growth in capital formation for the private sector, it has a direct but not significant impact on the dependent variable, gross domestic product growth. The study found that the Saudi private sector is still affected by the oil sector and its share of GDP in Saudi Arabia is lower compared to the rest of the world. Keywords: GDP, economic growth, gross fixed capital formation, oil sector, private sector, Saudi Arabia.
