Abstract : The celebration of the National Day occasion is one of the most prominent Saudi national occasions. It is the ideal occasion to use the Saudi symbolic identity and revive the traditional clothing's ancient heritage and renew proving its identity in light of the accelerated pace of globalization that has conquered the tangible side of clothing. Moreover, the isolation of the traditional clothing ancient heritage from its original identity in a score of countries in which the Western fashion imposed its character and style. On account of the shortage of unique costumes for women that reflect the national identity, which is derived from the lines, shapes, and features of the traditional Saudi clothing heritage, comprising of indications of the diverse symbolic identity of Saudi Arabia. The idea of this study emerged in an academic effort to contribute to the merging of the symbols of the Saudi identity and the traditional clothing heritage. The study's objective is to enrich the visual image of women's fashion on national occasions, particularly for women's age category 20:40-year-old. In other words, it will enable and help fashion designers and retailers in this field, whether in the market, craftsmanship boutiques, and online stores, to design, produce, market, and sell fashion that reflects the Saudi identity in form and content. The study was based on the descriptive survey approach and the descriptive-analytical approach, and the applied study. A note-taking card, questionnaires, and semiotic analysis forms were also used as tools to reach the study results. One of the most prominent findings of the study was the existence of an associative and complementary correlation between identity, symbol, and fashion under a shadow of the semiotic theories that depend on identifying the signifier and the signified. Another finding of the study is proving the lack of availability and scarcity in shapes, materials, colors, symbols, and style of decoration of women's fashion to celebrate the Saudi National Day, besides the need to shed light on a proposed design vision suitable to bridge this gap. On the other hand, the applied part also achieved the study's objectives by considering the results of the evaluation of the study sample's perspective. Among the most prominent recommendations of the study is urging the designers in the field of fashion design and textile industry to include the symbols of the Saudi identity in the costumes of national occasions as a creative way to preserve the national symbolic identity to strengthen the national belonging; which in line with the goals of the Ministry of Culture, the commissions of the Saudi cultural sector, the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts, the tourism sector, and the academic sector, which specializes in the fields of fashion, textile, designs, and arts, which ultimately contribute to the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
