The subject’s beginnings of the verses on rulings had been since the Prophet’s time (PBUH), then his companions’, may Allah be pleased with them, and their successors’. The interest in this science continued to the extent that the scholars later on have dedicated special literature about it, which is known as the science of (The Jurisprudential Exegesis). The book (Al-Majmoue, sharh Al-Muhathab) by: Imam An-Nawawi is one of the most important and greatest books that care for the conclusions drawn by the jurisprudents from the verses on rulings, and the jurisprudential issues deduced from them. This book is full of the jurisprudential rulings that are deduced from the Quran’s verses.
- The research’s subject: it is about the verses on rulings derived from the beginning of Chapter (The Light) – Surat An-Noor – to the end of Chapter (The Star) – Surat An-Najm, from the book ‘Al-Majmoue by Imam Al-Nawawi, with studying them from a jurisprudential view in comparison with the four schools of jurisprudence. The research includes: An Introduction, a Study section, an Applied section, then the Conclusion and Indexes. As for the introduction, it contains a definition about the verses on rulings, which comes in three topics. As for the study section, it introduces Imam An-Nawawi, and his book (Al-Majmoue) in ten topics. The applied section contains the conclusions on jurisprudential issues from the beginning of Surat An-Noor to the end of Surat An-Najm, with giving a comparative jurisprudential study. Then come the Conclusion, the Recommendations and a list on the References in addition to the Indexes. The study also includes evidence from both the Quran and Sunnah, attributing them to their origins, with stating the name of the surah and its number among the Quran’s Chapters. There are also the documentation of the hadith from one of the hadith books, the biography of eminent scholars, with controls stated in the research methodology. Among the most important outcomes reached to in this research is that the science of the verses on rulings is an important and great science that has drawn the attention of the scholars in the past and at the present, and which has been linked to the calamities of the modern age by deducing the jurisprudential rulings from it in scientific methodological ways. |
