Subject : The Reception of Abu Tammam Poetry in the Arabian Tradition, Alamidi as a Pattern
Document Language : Arabic
Abstract : The purpose of the research is to address two issues, which are : the reasons of Alamidi’s different critical attitudes toward Abu Tammam poetry, and the importance of prejudice to the development of the critical conflict about his poetry. Because some of these reasons refer to the literary text, and some to the reader, plus the social and historical conditions that surround him/her, therefore; we used the modern approach of perception as this approach cares for the reader in light of its relationship to the literary text, and relied on laser and Echo pattern, Jauss and Jadamer pattern to combine the two dimensions "aesthetic and historical "In the study. One of the main results that the research arrived to was: the transformation done by Alamidi to the “comparison between Abu Tammam and Albuhtori" from critical structure to narrative structure, is an important shift in the understanding of traditional critical discourse in poetic narrative context. The study was also able to identify number of concepts and procedures in the western reception theory, that helped in developing old critical concepts and procedures, such as approaching the prejudice concept in the ancient Arabian criticism through the concept of prejudice at Jadamr which resulted in the existence of many positive aspects to this concept. The most important one was: the explanation of the relationship between the reader, the author and the text. Also one of the positive aspects was: motivating the reading and searching process for the existing problems in the texts and the attempt to escalate. As such, the study was able to deepen the problems of theory through the application.
